Special OffersIn 2009 we are planning several offers such as reflexology 'happy hours', cut price treatments for those wanting to try out relatively new reflexology techniques such as Vertical Reflex Therapy and Precision Reflexology.  Then there's World Reflexology Week in September and much more.

Details of these offers will be in later newsletters.

To celebrate the first edition of the newsletter we thought we'd start off with a special offer of £10 off daytime treatments from 9th - 13th February inclusive.  See the coupon at the bottom of the newsletter for further details.

What does a reflexologist 'see' when they look at your feet?

Reflexology questionSome people are very self conscious when their feet are examined.  However, for a reflexologist the shape, colour, texture, flexibility and general condition of your feet can give us strong clues as to what may be going on for you.  In the reflexology world this is known as 'reading' the feet.

A build up of dry, hard skin may not necessarily be due to ill-fitting shoes, perhaps it has built up to cushion sensitive reflexology reflexes in that area.  For instance, callouses around the edges and backs of the heels could indicate a pelvic imbalance whereas yellow skin on the balls of the feet may suggest that you have a high level of toxicity in the chest area - this is not unusual for smokers.

So, please don't feel self conscious about your feet when you come for a treatment.  There is no need to scrape off hard skin and moisturise - we NEED to see your feet as they are!  We see so many feet every day and we're not here to judge.

Self-Help Techniques

Reflexology Self-HelpDid you know that reflexology can be carried out on hands as well as feet?  It's perfectly possible to learn some hand reflexology self-help techniques to give yourself a boost between treatments.   The beauty of hand reflexology is that you can do it almost anywhere without anyone even knowing and ... it's free!

Are you feeling stressed?

Help to relax tension by massaging the web between your thumb and your index finger.  Try it and let me know how you get on.
